Three Things To Remember
About God's Creation & Your Purpose In It.
In this week's blog, we will take a deeper look into last week's passage study on the creation of the world. If you haven't yet read it, I would encourage you to check it out first before continuing to this week's blog.
As we read and study The Bible, we see that God not only had a plan for His Creation, but He also had/has a plan for everything that He would fill it with. This includes me, you, and everyone else. My prayer is that you would allow the power of these verses to pour their truth over you as you live out your life for the One who made you in HIS Image!
If you missed last week's blog
GOD WAS THE FIRST & NOTHING EXISTED BEFORE HIM!
The world may try to offer false evidence that there was life that existed before God. If we are to say that we believe and trust in the Bible then that means that we must believe in it entirely from front to back. From the Old Testament to the New Testament, it is affirmed that God has been here from the very beginning! He was the first, He will be the last and He created everything out of nothing. As Christians, we are called to trust, believe and walk by faith whether His evidence is seen or unseen.
GENESIS 1:1-2
"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.”
JOHN 1:1
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
PSALM 90:2
"Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God."
REVELATION 22:13
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the
beginning and the end.”
IF GOD IS POWERFUL ENOUGH TO SPEAK CREATION INTO EXISTENCE, THEN HE IS POWERFUL ENOUGH FOR YOU TO TRUST WITH EVERY ASPECT OF YOUR LIFE.
God’s plan for creation is so magnificent, from larger elements like the sun in the sky to the finite details of a butterfly’s wings. His Creation was planned with purpose and intentionality. And while we may not have the capacity in our human/earthly minds to grasp and understand it in full detail, one day we will. Spend some time today meditating on the awesomeness of God and His Creation. And as you view the purpose of all of the elements around you, remember that you are His Creation and there is no aspect of your life that you cannot entrust Him with.
GENESIS 1:3
And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
GENESIS 1:6
And God said, “Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.”
GENESIS 1:9-11
And God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear.” And it was so. And God said, “Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, on the earth.” And it was so.
GENESIS 1:14-15
And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years, and let them be lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth.” And it was so.
GENESIS 1:20
And God said, “Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the heavens.”
GENESIS 1:24
And God said, “Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds—livestock and creeping things and beasts of the earth according to their kinds.” And it was so.
GENESIS 1:26
Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
WE ARE ALL CREATED BY GOD IN HIS IMAGE FOR A PURPOSE.
There is no one here by accident. God created every single person for a reason and purpose. Through this purpose, we are to honor Him, worship Him, and make His name known to the nations all for His Glory. As you think through your plans for each day, put God first in all things and allow all of your actions to Honor Him.
GENESIS 1:27
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.”
EPHESIANS 1:4-6
“even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us[a] for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.”
1 PETER 2:9
“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”
COLOSSIANS 1:16
“For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.”
MATTHEW 28:19
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
